A leading professional services company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Business Development Manager to generate and manage sales opportunities across Malaysia and the region. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and have a proven track record in business development. Strong consultative selling and communication skills are essential. The role involves building client relationships, meeting sales targets, and providing strategic contributions to the team. An established network in the industry is highly desirable.
Build and manage a robust pipeline of inbound and outbound opportunities across Malaysia and the region.
Respond to web inquiries and proactively generate new leads through networking, referrals, intermediaries, and market initiatives.
Maintain a balance between sourcing new logos and farming accounts.
Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, intermediaries, and industry influencers in the market.
Develop strategic account plans to grow existing client relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities across TMF’s global footprint.
Meet (and exceed!) annual sales and pipeline generation targets, all measured in Annual Contract Value (ACV).
Provide accurate weekly pipeline forecasts and maintain up-to-date CRM records (We’re using Microsoft Dynamics).
Collaborate with leadership to refine sales strategies, improve processes, and enhance conversion rates.
Contribute to team development by coaching peers and sharing best practices. You'll also provide guidance to TMF Malaysia local team on landing pipeline management.
Champion TMF’s values and culture, acting as a brand ambassador in the market.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
Proven track record in business development, consulting, legal, or professional services.
Experience managing complex, multi-jurisdictional sales cycles involving pre-sales.
Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand client needs and craft tailored solutions – no hard selling.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Copilot, CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce preferred).
A well-established network of intermediaries and industry contacts in Malaysia and/or the region is highly desirable.
