Job summary

A technology company based in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner. The ideal candidate will partner with business leaders to develop HR strategies, oversee the performance appraisal process, and ensure compliance with labor laws. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant HR experience, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of Malaysian labor regulations is crucial, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Responsibilities

Partner with business leaders to understand their strategic goals and translate these into effective HR strategies.

Provide insights and recommendations on HR initiatives to drive business performance.

Coordinate the performance appraisal process and review appraisal results to identify strengths, and areas for improvement across the organization.

Advise managers on effective performance management techniques and tools.

Conduct investigations into employee complaints or misconduct allegations, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality throughout the process.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to determine appropriate disciplinary measures.

Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of HR experience in a similar role, with a focus on industrial relations, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance management within a diverse workforce.
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a commitment to fairness and equity.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
