Job summary

A logistics company in Sabah is seeking a Hub Operations Manager to lead operations during the start-up phase. The role involves managing staff, ensuring on-time delivery, coordinating logistics operations, and maintaining inventory standards. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, and must be legally allowed to work in Sabah. Strong communication in both Bahasa Malaysia and English is required, along with the ability to commit to shift work.

Qualifications

  • Legally allowed to work in Sabah based on respective state law requirements.
  • Preferably 3-5 years experience specializing in Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Ability to commit to shift work on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and establish operation processes in the hub during start-up phase.
  • Track, monitor and ensure on-time shipment delivery from picked up to end customer.
  • Manage and hire staff and part-time drivers/riders.
  • Handle cash on delivery money and ensure to bank-in every day.
  • Coordinate between hub, warehouse, and linehaul for smooth operation.
  • Work closely with customer service to handle customer requests.
  • Control inventory and reduce the risk of missing and damaged parcels.
  • Ensure the hub meets 5S standards.

  • Handle cash on delivery money and ensure to bank-in everyday
  • Coordinate between hub, warehouse outbound and linehaul for smooth operation
  • Work closely with customer service and assist on handling customer request
  • Control inventory and take care of every shipment to reduce the risk of missing and damaged parcel
  • Manage and ensure hub is meeting 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) standard
Requirements
  • Legally allowed to work in Sabah based on respective state law requirements
  • Candidates currently based in Sabah are encouraged to apply
  • Diploma / Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or relevant disciplines is advantageous
  • Good command of the language in Bahasa Malaysia and English
  • Preferably 3-5 years experience specializing in Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent
  • Shift-basis with shifts available 6 days a week, depending on agreed team arrangement
  • Ability to commit to shift work on a rotational basis
  • Working pattern: 45 working hours weekly, Rotational shift schedule, Overtime if required
  • Working location: Tawau, Sabah
