A leading executive search firm seeks a Senior HR Business Partner to oversee HR operations for over 200 retail stores across Malaysia. Responsibilities include managing performance, developing training programs, and implementing recruitment strategies. Applicants should possess extensive experience in retail HR, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders. Lead HR operations for 200+ retail stores, ensuring alignment with business goals and corporate culture during change management processes.
Work closely with Store Managers to drive performance, implement improvements, and enhance customer satisfaction while navigating change.
Take charge of retail training programs, focusing on staff competencies, sales growth, and service standards amidst business change.
Lead a team of 3 direct reports to deliver training initiatives, ensuring objectives are met during the transition.
Design and implement innovative recruitment strategies for store-level roles, ensuring smooth onboarding through change periods.
Leverage digital tools, social media, and local outreach to attract diverse candidates during business transformation.
Partner with the Head of Operations and General Manager to drive HR initiatives that align with business goals through transformation.
Provide HR support to regional stakeholders, offering insights into talent management, performance, and organizational development.
Anticipate HR challenges and identify opportunities to improve business performance during the change management process.
Manage P&L understanding and sales training, optimizing profitability and fostering a high-performance culture in stores during change.
Lead employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions while maintaining morale and engagement during transformation.
Oversee talent acquisition, succession planning, and retention strategies to ensure a strong talent pipeline throughout the change process.
Travel across Malaysia to support stores, conduct training, build relationships, and ensure alignment with regional HR strategies during periods of change.
Extensive experience in retail HR, with a background in managing large-scale retail operations
A strong understanding of retail operations, from store management to staff performance, with a passion for training and developing talent.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the business, including regional stakeholders and senior leaders.
A solid grasp of P&L management and the ability to drive sales performance and operational improvements.
Experience in designing and delivering sales training and employee development programs.
Someone who is highly proactive, can work autonomously, and is comfortable in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Ability to travel frequently across Malaysia to engage with store teams and provide on-site support.
