Your responsibilities

Employer branding: Get Pop Meals to be among the most desired employers to work for in Southeast Asia. Ensure that our compensation, benefits and professional development programs contribute to the attraction and retention of the highest-caliber talent.

Onboarding: “Wow” new hires with a great onboarding experience including among other things support hiring managers with a 30 day plan for every new employee and ensure that expectations between hiring manager and new employees are aligned

Culture vulture: Develop and run rituals to reinforce the company culture and values and organises regular team building events and ensure a productive and enjoyable working environment for all employees

Performance management: ensures that high performers are quickly identified and rewarded through implementation of and effective performance management systems including career development plans, frequent feedback systems and 1on1 with the direct reports are conducted

Training and development: identify skill gaps and builds together with all department heads frequent and consistent training and continuous learning and plans and executes targeted training initiatives.

Compliance: ensure strict adherence to internal policies with regards to HR regulations and policies.

Payroll & HRIS: Own and manage end-to-end payroll for HQ employees using BrioHR, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant salary processing, statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) and maintenance of employee data, leave and claims in the system.

HQ Recruitment: Lead and execute end-to-end recruitment for HQ roles, including workforce planning with hiring managers, job postings, screening, interviews, offers and onboarding to ensure timely hiring of high-quality talent aligned to business needs.

Build: together with the executive team, build HR and people operations systems that scale with the company and team size including tracking and reporting of HR metrics. Hires and provides leadership to a high performing People Operations team.

Manage Employment Pass/Visa applications and maintaining high confidentiality of the information

Candidate qualifications
  • 5 years experience as a hands-on HR generalist in fast growing organisations, preferably startups or other fast moving industries
  • Sound HR management experience of diverse functions such as payroll, compensation & benefits, talent management, organisational development
  • Experience in hiring preferred
  • Have a thorough understanding of labor laws and HR regulations in Malaysia
  • Very positive, energetic and easily connects with people and builds authentic relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills and proactiveness, ready to get your hands dirty and solve problems and build systems
  • High level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Willingness to work outside the comfort zone & being always up for challenges
  • Strong executional capability supported by strategic mindset
  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related disciplines preferred
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa
