Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Iskandar Puteri is looking for an experienced HR Manager. The ideal candidate will manage recruitment processes, develop training programs, and handle employee relations. A bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR within a manufacturing environment. Fluency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia is essential to communicate effectively with both local teams and management from China.

About the job HR Manager | Iskandar Puteri

Company Background:

Our client established in Malaysia, specializes in the assembly and production of photoelectric products. Their primary offerings include laser diode modules, red dot sights, laser measuring and positioning devices, and laser aiming devices. Additionally, the company manufactures core components for laser instruments and tools, such as optical lenses, PCB boards, and precision-machined parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes to meet manpower needs
  • Develop and implement training programs based on skills gap and business requirements
  • Oversee performance management system and support department heads in setting KPIs
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions in line with labor laws
  • Administer payroll, compensation, and employee benefits while ensuring statutory compliance
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Support organizational development initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention
  • Collaborate with management and site leadership to align HR practices with business goals
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all labor regulations and audit requirements
  • Lead HR initiatives that support a safe, productive, and positive work environment on-site

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience working at site is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Fluent in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, in order to have smooth conversation with management from China, as well as internal team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
