Job summary

A leading construction company in Malaysia is seeking an HR Executive to manage daily HR operations and ensure compliance with employment laws. The successful candidate will oversee recruitment, payroll, and training initiatives. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and at least 5 years of HR experience. Strong communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software. This position is based in Plaza IBM, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.

Job Summary: The HR Executive manages daily HR operations, ensures compliance with company policies and Malaysian employment laws, and supports organizational goals through effective people management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations: recruitment, onboarding, confirmations, and exit processes.
  • Manage and process monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory submissions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and HR databases.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal HR policies.
  • Support performance management, appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage employee relations, inquiries, and grievance handling professionally.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives for staff.
  • Prepare HR reports, manpower planning, and management presentations.
  • Support audits, inspections, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to implement HR initiatives and process improvements.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma / Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software (e.g., InfoTech).
  • Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and handle confidential information.
  • Team player with positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and discipline.
