Job summary

A construction company in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Executive to manage the recruitment process, maintain employee records, and support employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a degree in Human Resources, a minimum of 2 years’ HR experience, and strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws. This role involves liaising with government bodies for compliance and providing PA support to the Director within a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process from job postings to onboarding.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS system.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and performance management.
  • Assist in developing HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations and handle grievances.
  • Handle foreign worker management including visas and permits.
  • Liaise with government bodies for compliance.
  • Prepare HR reports and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Act as key HR contact for employees and management.
  • Provide PA support to the Director.

As part of our expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Human Resources Executive to join our team.

What You’ll Do
  • Managing the end‑to‑end recruitment process from job postings, shortlisting, and interviewing to onboarding new hires.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records, HRIS system, and personnel files accurately.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives, training and development programmes, and performance management.
  • Support the coordination of annual KPIs and performance appraisal exercises.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and the company handbook.
  • Assisting in managing employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary issues, and providing guidance when necessary.
  • Handling foreign worker management, including renewals, work permits, visa applications, and FOMEMA medical check‑ups.
  • Liaising with government bodies such as JTK, Immigration Department, EPF, SOCSO, and other relevant authorities to ensure compliance with labour regulations and company obligations.
  • Preparing HR reports for management and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Acting as a key HR point of contact for employees and management.
  • Providing personal assistant (PA) support to the Director, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing documents, and handling confidential matters.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Mentally resilient, able to work under pressure, and able to handle sensitive or challenging situations professionally.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Knowledge of Infotech HRMS will be an added advantage.
