Overview

We’re Hiring: Health & Safety Officer

Location: Sanctuary Health, Chemor, Perak

Sanctuary Health is looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to join our team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace while promoting a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA, FMA, and other statutory requirements.
• Plan, implement and review Health & Safety activities within manufacturing plant to cultivate a safe and healthy environment.
• Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
• Assist to conduct regular risk assessments across all areas of the operation to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
• Create safety awareness to all employees and emphasize responsibilities of all employees towards safety.
• Investigate all industrial accident, near misses, dangerous occurrence and occupational diseases for improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions.
• Plan, implement and perform monitoring emergency response plans, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, and crisis management.
• Prepare and conduct safety orientation, training and workplace safety procedures.
• Prepare Health & Safety related reports (yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily) needed by management.
• Maintain accurate records of all Health & Safety related activities.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities and operations to identify areas of improvement.
• Assist in all audit activities (internal or external) toward company.

• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• DOSH-registered Safety & Health Officer (preferred/required)
• Strong knowledge of workplace health & safety laws
