Job summary

A leading telecommunications company in Kuching, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Sales Leader to drive regional enterprise strategy, manage a high-performing sales team, and enhance key customer relationships. Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership & P&L Management:
    • Develop and execute the regional enterprise strategy to achieve sales targets, profitability, and market share growth.
    • Assume full ownership of the region's P&L, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial management.
    • Provide insightful market analysis and competitor intelligence to inform the overall enterprise strategy.
  • Sales & Commercial Performance:
    • Lead the regional enterprise sales team to drive pipeline development, opportunity conversion, and revenue from new and existing customers.
    • Personally engage in and lead negotiations for high-value, complex enterprise contracts.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, such as revenue attainment, customer acquisition cost, and sales cycle length.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
    • Foster a culture of success, accountability, and continuous improvement through effective coaching and performance management.
    • Set clear objectives and provide the necessary resources and support for the team to succeed.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key enterprise customers, C-level executives, and strategic partners.
    • Act as the senior point of escalation for regional customer issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure the regional team adheres to company policies, sales processes, and CRM best practices.
    • Collaborate with internal departments such as Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment of regional activities with corporate goals.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in B2B/enterprise sales, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership capacity managing sales teams.
    • Demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets and growing market share in a competitive enterprise environment.
    • Proven experience in managing a P&L and developing regional business strategies.
    • Experience within the [Specify Industry, e.g., Telecommunications, SaaS, IT Solutions] sector is essential.
