Arcelik A.S. and Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc to manufacture, sell and provide after-sales services of Hitachi branded home appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners globally (outside of the Japanese market). Arcelik (a multinational household appliances manufacturer that employs over 50,000 people worldwide and operates in 57 countries, and 45 production facilities with 22 brands such as Beko and Grundig) acquired 60% ownership in the new company while Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc., continues as a 40% shareholder of the company.

We are looking for a passionate lead to join Arcelik Hitachi Home Appliances Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. The Head of Operations for Supply Chain & Customer Care is responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain functions—from demand planning and procurement to distribution and logistics—while also managing customer care operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high service levels across the organization.

Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Inventory Management
  • Develop and execute demand forecasting strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to gather market intelligence.
  • Optimize inventory levels using techniques like safety stock management and reorder point calculations
Supplier & Service Provider Management
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor performance against KPIs.
  • Foster strong relationships to drive collaboration and continuous improvement
Distribution & Logistics Operations
  • Implement distribution strategies to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Optimize warehouse operations and order fulfillment processes.
  • Apply lean principles to reduce waste and improve throughput
Budget Control
  • Manage budgets related to procurement, transportation, warehousing, and inventory.
  • Track spending and identify cost-saving opportunities
Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the supply chain and customer care teams.
  • Set clear goals and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • Professional certifications like CSCP, CPIM, or Six Sigma are a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain/operations with managerial exposure.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals is vital.
  • Solid understanding of industry best practices, regulations, and trends related to supply chain management is important.
  • Great skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel are needed.
