A leading FMCG company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Head of Legal & Compliance to oversee all legal matters and ensure compliance with operational requirements. The role involves advising management on legal issues, managing risks, and promoting a culture of compliance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in corporate law, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Competitive salary up to RM20,000 is offered for this position.

Oversee all the company's legal matters and provide legal advice to ensure compliance with operational legal requirements.

Position Overview
  • Industry: MLM Retail
  • Location: Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
  • Team Size: 5
  • Salary Range: RM 17,000 - RM 20,000
Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the company's legal strategies and ensure legal compliance.
  • Advisory Role: Advise management and department heads on a broad range of legal and compliance matters.
  • Legal Support: Provide legal advice and support on issues such as legal, contractual, litigation, commercial law, and adherence to statutory or regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify legal risks proactively and offer advice on all corporate operational legal matters to ensure compliance.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on new laws and regulations applicable to the company, and initiate necessary changes impacting business operations.
  • Research and Evaluation: Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
  • Document Handling: Review, negotiate, and draft all types of arrangements, contracts, legal documents, etc.
  • External Liaison: Liaise with external parties and lawyers on legal matters.
  • Culture of Compliance: Promote and facilitate a culture of compliance across the company.
  • Integrity and Responsibility: Conduct work with integrity and responsibility.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake ad-hoc duties and assignments as required.
