A leading construction company in Kuching, Malaysia, is seeking a Human Resource Manager to oversee compliance with company policies and manage staff recruitment and training. The ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in Human Resource Management and have 6-8 years of relevant experience. Strong management and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. This role emphasizes leadership and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Implement and ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures, guidelines, and instructions.
Ensure adherence to all applicable legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
Manage staff recruitment, termination, transfers, and payroll administration.
Plan, coordinate, and organize staff training programmes to meet organizational and employee development needs.
Oversee and manage environmental, safety, and health (ESH) practices at the head office.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.
Possess a Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized college or university. Candidates without the above qualifications but with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant working experience in a similar role may also be considered.
Aged between 30 and 40 years, with at least six (6) to eight (8) years of working experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the building and construction industry.
Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Well-versed in employment laws, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, employee relations, and training and development.
Strong management skills with a high level of attention to detail; flexible and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Demonstrates strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on quality management practices.
Excellent organizational skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision and also function effectively as a team player.
Computer literate and proficient in MS Office applications.
