Job description

The Head of Finance will lead TERAS Teknologi’s financial strategy, planning, and operations. As a key member of the leadership team, this role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing strategic insights to support the company’s sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board to drive business growth, investment decisions, and risk management.
• Lead capital planning, corporate structuring, and M&A evaluations when relevant.
• Active team player to provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on financial issues such as financial projections, feasibility studies, cost identification and allocations, revenue as well as expense analysis to ensure key business and financial targets are delivered.

Financial Management

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling across all business units.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting for management and stakeholders
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financing arrangements to ensure liquidity and sustainability.
• Keep abreast with latest developmental of regulations and best practices in financial management, business trends, technologies to ensure organization’s financial management are effective, accounting practices and standards are adhered to and in accordance with quality and policy requirements.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in Malaysia.
• Oversee internal controls, audit processes, and risk management frameworks.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, regulators, and financial institutions.
• Establish, implements and maintains strong internal controls to ensure appropriate resources use, accurate financial information, and adherence to contractual obligations and agreements and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & People

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build a high-performance function.
• Instill a culture of accountability, transparency, and business partnership across the company.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, business development, and technology teams to align financial planning with business goals.
• Identify improvement area as well as building, implementing, executing, and refining a program to improve efficiency, quality and lowering the cost.

Requirements

• Possess a recognized Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Finance/Accounting (CIMA, ACCA, CPA) or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management role
• Experienced in managing senior stakeholders including Board of Directors
