A leading industrial company in Lahad Datu, Malaysia seeks an experienced plant manager with over 8 years of relevant experience and a degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical or Mechanical). The role involves managing production plans, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading operational strategies. Degree in any Engineering especially Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Having MBA or other certification is an additional qualification
Above (8) years relevant working experience. (5) years in a management role with proven success in a managerial role.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Matured, analytical, self-starter and independent.
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).
Manage and coordinate daily plant activities, ensuring compliance with safety, security, environmental and manufacturing standards.
Work closely with other departments to plan production, set targets, and ensure product quality meets company standards and budget.
Identify problems in operations, engineering, equipment and process design; propose and implement cost-effective solutions.
Review and ensure effective implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve target performance and goal zero.
Support new process introductions by assessing facility gaps and implementing improvement plans.
Provide technical support for HSSE activities (HAZOP, LOPA, HIRARC, incident investigations).
Ensure compliance with performance standards and industry best practices.
Lead annual production budgeting, planning and execution.
Participate in recruitment, training, and competency development of employees.
Ensure sustainability compliance including Renewable European Directory and timely reporting of GHG emissions.
Provide technical support to internal teams and customers; attend to customer inquiries when needed.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Ensure strict compliance with all safety, HSSE, environmental and sustainability regulations.
Report incidents to the Leadership Team and lead investigation activities.
Chair HSSE meetings and ensure all statutory requirements are fulfilled.
Promote best HSSE practices and actively engage with plant teams.
Ensure production plans, outputs and shipments are executed in line with budget and business strategy.
Resolve operational issues to achieve production and delivery targets.
Recommend continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions for operations.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including refineries.
Stay updated with market trends and regional industry developments.
Participate in stakeholder meetings and share key updates with Leadership Team to support business continuity.
