Head of Facilities and Infrastructure– Semiconductor Greenfield Project
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Infrastructure Manager with a strong background in the semiconductor industry. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe daily operations of the facility. The manager will be responsible for infrastructure planning and construction, facilities operations, energy management, and safety compliance, adapting to a fast‑paced and high‑standards semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and construction management of new build, expansion, and renovation projects, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and international standards.
- Oversee the full lifecycle management of factory infrastructure, including buildings, equipment, electrical systems, pipelines, and wastewater treatment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Optimize energy usage (water, electricity, gas) and drive cost‑reduction initiatives; monitor and ensure compliance of environmental systems (e.g., waste gas and wastewater treatment) with Malaysian and international environmental regulations.
- Manage external contractors, suppliers, and service providers; control procurement costs while ensuring service quality.
- Ensure factory compliance with Malaysia’s OSHA, Environmental Quality Act, building regulations, and relevant ISO standards. Lead facility safety audits, risk assessments, and develop emergency response plans with regular drills.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to support overall operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- 8–10 years of facilities management experience in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian infrastructure regulations (e.g., CIDB standards), environmental requirements, and fire safety codes.
- Proven experience in new plant setup or major facility upgrade projects, with solid understanding of tendering, construction, and commissioning processes.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Malay and Mandarin is highly preferred.
