We are seeking a Head of Eastern Region to lead and manage all aspects of the company’s operations, strategy and business growth in the Eastern Region. This role involves overseeing engineering, network deployment, site acquisition, operations management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure business sustainability and market leadership. The incumbent will drive operational excellence, enhance network infrastructure and spearhead innovative solutions to strengthen the company’s position in the telecommunications industry.

Key Responsibilities
1.Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional business strategy aligned with company objectives to drive profitability and long-term sustainability.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and investment avenues to expand the company’s footprint in the telecommunications sector.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to position the company as a leader in the industry.
  • Spearhead regional expansion plans, including acquiring new sites, increasing colocation opportunities, and optimizing asset utilization.
  • Lead the end-to-end network deployment process, including planning, implementing, and commissioning new infrastructure.
  • Ensure seamless execution of new site rollouts, colocation strategies, and infrastructure upgrades, meeting project timelines and quality standards.
  • Oversee the deployment of fiber infrastructure, smart connectivity solutions, and emerging technologies such as 5G to enhance network capacity.
3.Operations & Regulatory Compliance
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize operations across the region.
  • Ensure full compliance with government regulations, telecommunications licensing requirements, and industry safety standards.
  • Oversee the acquisition and management of site permits, tenancy agreements, and legal documentation with landlords, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor and manage asset utilization, lease agreements, and rental negotiations for site locations to optimize financial efficiency.
  • Strengthen risk management frameworks and business continuity plans to mitigate operational disruptions.
4.Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), regulators, government agencies, corporate clients, and vendors.
  • Represent the company in high-level negotiations, industry forums, and regulatory discussions to influence policy and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with telco operators, infrastructure providers, and technology partners to enhance service offerings and business synergies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective telecommunications solutions.
  • Develop and manage regional budgets, financial forecasts, and cost optimization strategies to drive profitability.
  • Ensure cost-effective deployment of resources and operational expenditures without compromising service quality.
  • Review and approve business contracts, vendor agreements, and investment proposals to ensure commercial viability.
  • Drive revenue generation through innovative business models, strategic partnerships, and new service offerings.
6.People & Performance Management
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor team productivity, operational effectiveness, and strategic alignment.
  • Promote professional development through training, mentorship, and leadership programs.
  • Ensure effective succession planning to sustain long-term business growth.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance network capabilities, automate operations, and improve service delivery.
  • Explore the adoption of AI-driven predictive maintenance, IoT-based smart solutions, and energy-efficient site management.
  • Lead the integration of new technologies, automation tools, and data analytics to improve decision-making and business outcomes.
