Job description

Commercial Finance Head is key leadership role within Malaysia Finance team providing support to Commercial Director of Malaysia on revenue growth planning and execution, commercial partners incentives structuring and tracking. The role is responsible to support Malaysia management team to develop and delivery strategic long-term plan, reporting to the FD. The role additionally is responsible for financial reporting and analysis of the business results as per group reporting requirement.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Partnering with the Commercial Director to drive and implement commercial plans (50%)

  • Partnering with the Commercial Director conducting detailed analysis of revenue, product, region and customer wise sales performance data to uncover trends, identify challenges and opportunities for business growth and generate insights to support decision making by leadership team
  • Tracking on the commercial plan deliverable and analysis on commercial plan performance and variance.
  • Evaluate and tracking on key customers and distributor performance and margin contribution.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
  • Commercial Incentives: Support Commercial Director to develop sales incentive structures for commercial partners to drive desired commercial behaviours and maximize ROI on sales investments.
  • Strategic Growth: Work with Malaysia Finance Director and management team to identify step changes that can accelerate profitable revenue growth across key product segments and geographies.
  • Establish strong relationships across a network of key stakeholders, serving as strategic thought partner to Commercial Director, NPD&T, and Product teams to align on goals, share insights on and support on good execution of the business revenue growth strategy
  • Lead automation project for sales report and management report.

2. Implementation of Financial Management: Financial Reporting and Strategic Finance (50%)

  • Prepare the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes including 5-year plan management review.
  • Updating ABF financial consolidation tool (TM1) for annual budget, forecasting and 5-year plan.
  • Prepare the forecasting deck for Management review including budget, quarterly forecast and 5-year plan.
  • Prepare and updating the photo vision for the business unit responsible.
  • Prepare key customer and competitor financial information annually.
  • Supports pricing, market and competitors’ analysis impacting business performance and profitability.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare business case for potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions to support growth initiatives.
REQUIREMENT
  • High calibre MBA Finance or Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Min 10 years+ of commercial finance with financial planning and analysis experience preferred within food manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working in a multi-country environment is preferred
  • Strong Excel skills can effectively manage large datasets, perform complex calculations, and create insightful reports to support decision-making
