One of Malaysia’s largest publicly listed enterprises, currently undertaking a multi-year Group-wide technology transformation. As part of its cloud-first agenda, the organisation is significantly modernising its IT landscape to enable scalability, resilience, and digital innovation across regional operations.

To support this strategic shift, they are seeking a Head of Cloud Architecture & Strategy to lead and define the future state of cloud adoption at an enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise cloud strategy, architecture roadmap, and reference architectures.
• Design and govern multi‑cloud adoption strategies (Azure primary, AWS secondary).
• Establish cloud governance frameworks, landing zones, and workload placement principles.
• Lead cloud migration and modernisation programmes across complex, regulated environments.
• Drive the evolution of the cloud operating model, including security, resilience, and scalability.
• Partner with C‑suite and senior stakeholders to guide cloud investment and architectural decisions.
• Oversee cloud KPIs, cost‑optimisation initiatives (FinOps), and platform performance.
• Manage strategic vendors, system integrators, and internal architecture teams across the region.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in enterprise cloud strategy and architecture, with strong Azure and AWS exposure.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale, multi‑year cloud transformation programmes.
• Strong experience operating in complex, enterprise or regulated environments.
• Exceptional executive stakeholder management and architectural governance capabilities.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on leadership and delivery oversight.
