Head of Business Development – Construction Arm (Listed Firm)

We are a listed property developer embarking on an exciting transformation to build a strong, revenue-generating external construction and engineering platform. To drive this next phase of growth, we are seeking a senior, commercially astute Head of Business Development to lead market engagement and secure new project wins.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business development efforts to open doors, build strategic relationships, and secure contracts with developers and external clients.
  • Leverage your market network to position the company’s engineering and construction capabilities, including supporting the setup and growth of infrastructure and engineering offerings.
  • Act as the front-facing commercial leader, engaging decision-makers and influencing project awards from early-stage discussions through to contract signing.
  • People leadership of current BD team, ensuring business development activities translate directly into signed contracts and sustainable order book growth.
Business Context
  • The construction arm is currently focused on internal projects with no external revenue.
  • The mandate is to build an external order book of approximately > XXX millions over the medium term.
  • This role will be instrumental in transforming the business into a credible, competitive, and profitable external construction platform.
