Job Summary
Strategically safeguard MCMC's assets and mitigate cyber threats to protect critical assets. Oversee security aspects of server and storage deployments, ensuring resilience amidst evolving threats. Implement robust security measures across network infrastructure and conduct assessments to strengthen defences. Overseeing cloud security ensures Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness and proactive vulnerability mitigation. Coordinate comprehensive DR drills to safeguard cloud-based services' integrity and resilience. Manage projects and financial expenditures with optimum efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Spearhead the establishment and supervision of a strategic vision and day-to-day operations for security control, monitoring, and response across the organization's technological landscape.
- Develop a robust strategy aligned with organizational goals to safeguard digital assets against emerging threats, overseeing its seamless implementation across departments and teams.
- Provide strategic guidance to ensure the continuous optimization of security measures, adapting them in response to evolving threats and challenges within the dynamic technological environment.
- Lead a skilled cybersecurity team in designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient security measures across infrastructure, networks, and applications.
- Ensure proactive monitoring of systems for security incidents or breaches through the utilization of cutting-edge tools and technologies, enabling swift detection and response.
- Oversee the development and implementation of robust incident response protocols, conducting regular drills and simulations to refine procedures and enhance preparedness.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies for potential integration, collaborating with stakeholders to assess feasibility and effectiveness in bolstering the organization's security posture.
- Effectively manage financial resources allocated to network security and asset protection, ensuring prudent allocation to address security needs and mitigate risks effectively.
Qualification & Work Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field is often required and from a reputable University/College.
- Advanced degrees such as a master's or Ph.D. in cybersecurity can be advantageous
- Significant experience in cybersecurity roles, with a minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in security control, monitoring, incident response, and leadership positions.
- Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing security controls across diverse technological environments.
- Experience in leading and managing cybersecurity teams, overseeing security operations, and driving strategic initiatives.
- Proven track record of successfully managing security incidents, implementing best practices, and adapting to evolving threats.
- Candidate must be willing to work in Cyberjaya and a Malaysian citizen.
Technical Competencies/Skills
- Strong technical expertise in cybersecurity principles, technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in network security, endpoint security, cloud security, application security, and security operations.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, and CIS Controls.
