Job summary

A prominent restaurant in Langkawi is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead their kitchen operations. Looking for an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our dynamic team at PANJI PANORAMA SDN. BHD. in Langkawi, Kedah. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operation and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food quality.
  • Develop menus, recipes, and special dishes in line with company concept and customer preferences.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including Commis Cooks, Demi Chefs, and Sous Chefs.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (HACCP/Food Safety).
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure proper use of all tools and machinery.
  • Plan and control kitchen budgets, minimizing waste while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborate with management for special events, promotions, and menu planning.
  • Lead by example, maintaining professionalism and a positive work environment in the kitchen.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or equivalent senior culinary role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and modern cooking methods (Western, Asian, or other cuisines relevant to the company).
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
