Responsibilities
- Guest Experience: Provide exceptional customer service to guests by taking food and beverage orders, delivering orders accurately and promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
- Menu Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special dietary options, to assist guests with their selections.
- Upselling: Recommend and upsell menu items, beverages, and desserts to enhance the overall guest experience and increase sales.
- Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth communication and timely service, maintaining a high standard of efficiency and professionalism.
- Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area, including setting and resetting tables, cleaning surfaces, and organizing utensils and glassware.
- Billing and Payments: Handle guest payments accurately, process credit card transactions, and provide correct change, ensuring all financial transactions are conducted with integrity.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM or Diploma in Hotel Management
- Previous experience as a server in a high-end restaurant or hotel is preferred, but not mandatory. Training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and enthusiasm.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with guests.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, fostering teamwork and positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hotel's operation schedule.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays of food and beverages as needed.
