Overview
Lead and oversee the Group’s integrated framework for sustainability, risk management, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring full alignment with legal, regulatory, and ISO 9001/14001 quality management system standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance
- Ensure continuous adherence to QMS policies and procedures in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Maintain and update documentation covering risk management, sustainability reporting, and compliance controls.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing materials, facilitating activities, and implementing corrective measures.
Enterprise Risk Management
- Design, implement, and monitor the Group’s enterprise risk management framework.
- Conduct risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and report key risk indicators to the Risk Management Committee.
- Ensure business continuity plans are documented, tested, and reviewed annually.
Regulatory Compliance and Governance
- Oversee compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, MACC Act (Section 17A), Companies Act, and other relevant regulations.
- Implement compliance monitoring and training programs in line with established procedures.
Sustainability and ESG Reporting
- Lead sustainability reporting in accordance with IFRS S1/S2, GRI Standards, and Bursa Malaysia guidelines.
- Manage ESG data collection and verification to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with teams to embed sustainability objectives into the Group’s QMS.
ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Audit Coordination
- Work with QA and EHS teams to plan and execute ISO audits effectively.
- Integrate audit findings into risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
- Support certification and re certification processes from a compliance perspective.
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting
- Prepare and deliver reports to the Board, Audit, Risk, and Sustainability Committees.
- Assist the CFO with ESG-related investor disclosures, rating agency responses, and investor inquiries.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA Malaysia/MICPA) preferred.
- At least 10 years’ senior-level experience in risk, compliance, sustainability, or finance, ideally in manufacturing or listed companies.
- Strong background in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Professional certifications in risk management, compliance, sustainability, or accounting advantageous; governance, audit, or business continuity certifications are a plus.
- Strong financial acumen, including knowledge of financial statements, consolidation, and investor relations.
- Deep understanding of Bursa Malaysia regulations, MACC Act, IFRS S1/S2, and ISO standards.
- Proven ability to design and maintain documented controls and risk frameworks.
- Expertise in ESG reporting and compliance monitoring.
