Responsibilities

• Grind freeform and spline surfaces to exact CAD profiles.
• Adjust tool paths and offsets based on real-time inspection feedback.
• Optimize CAM parameters such as depth, overlap, feed rate, and wheel approach.
• Execute auto-dressing cycles and update wheel offsets automatically.
• Perform dry runs and verifications on new CNC grinding programs.
• Simulate grinding tool paths before actual runs.
• Post-process CAM toolpaths to specific grinding machine controllers.
• Test new grinding wheels and programs on CNC platforms.
• Monitor real-time spindle loads and adjust feeds accordingly.
• Configure grinding strategies for multi-feature parts.
• Run end-of-line performance verification tests on CNC grinders.
• Create wheel dressing profiles based on CAM-generated data.
• Customize CAM templates for recurring grinding jobs.
• Perform form, flatness, and roundness checks with high precision.
• Generate and interpret CMM inspection reports aligned with CAD data.
• Collaborate with QA to validate grinding performance against tolerance targets.
• Provide feedback to engineering for CAD revisions based on inspection.
• Conduct CMM-based capability studies.
