General Manager/Sr Manager- Business Development (Oil Palm/Agricultural/Plantation Machineries) - Bursa PLC

Job Summary: Responsible for leading, exploring, developing and driving the growth of the mechanisation business within the palm oil estate sector. This includes market expansion, operational execution, and project implementation related to agricultural mechanisation solutions across Malaysia and Indonesia.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and spearhead the strategic growth and development of the mechanisation business sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the mechanisation initiatives in Malaysia and Indonesia.
  • Identify market gaps, conduct feasibility studies, and assess regional mechanisation needs within palm oil plantations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and target customer segments.
  • Conduct market research to support business strategy and prepare business and mechanisation development plans.
  • Develop comprehensive business proposal and mechanisation plans for potential clients.
  • Engage customers to understand their operational challenges and propose suitable mechanisation solutions.
  • Promote mechanisation solutions to estate owners, plantation groups, and agricultural companies.
  • Present business models, value propositions, and cost-benefit analysis to potential customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Malaysia and Indonesia to support long‑term business growth.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Degree or diploma in Sales & Marketing / Mechanical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Plantation Management / Agricultural Technology / Agricultural Science & Technology or related field.

Job Requirement
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Oil Palm estate operations particularly involving harvesting machineries & its downstream process.
  • Strong hand‑on experience in mechanisation projects within plantation or agricultural sectors.
  • Proven Senior leadership experience is essential.
  • To lead and spearhead existing mechanisation team members after identified the targeted market segment.
  • Willing to travel extensively across Malaysia and Indonesia with team members.
Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of agricultural machinery like tractors, harvesters, motorised cutters, mechanised tools or similar equipment servicing, maintenance, repair process, and workshop management.

Experience in developing comprehensive business and mechanisation proposals for potential clients.

Results‑driven with strong business acumen and commercial awareness.

Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.

Specific Aptitude

Strategic thinker with the ability to forecast market trends and develop long‑term business sustainability plans.

Strong analytical thinking with strong problem‑solving capabilities.
