People and Culture Generalist

The People and Culture Generalist will manage end-to-end HR operations in Malaysia, focusing on talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, employee administration, training and development, and engagement initiatives. This role requires a proactive HR professional with at least 5 years of experience in a multinational corporation (MNC), capable of driving HR best practices while supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and other talent sources.
  • Facilitate onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company culture and compliance with HR policies.
2. Offboarding
  • Coordinate exit processes, including clearance, exit interviews, and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements during offboarding.
3. HR Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS systems.
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.
  • Support payroll processing, leave management, and other HR administrative tasks.
4. Training & Development
  • Identify training needs and coordinate internal or external learning programs.
  • Support performance management processes and employee development plans.
5. Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
  • Support internal communication and HR campaigns that reinforce company values and culture.
6. Compliance & Policies
  • Ensure HR processes comply with Malaysian labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a multinational corporation, preferably in manufacturing or engineering sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience in recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, HR administration, training, and engagement.
