People and Culture Generalist
The People and Culture Generalist will manage end-to-end HR operations in Malaysia, focusing on talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, employee administration, training and development, and engagement initiatives. This role requires a proactive HR professional with at least 5 years of experience in a multinational corporation (MNC), capable of driving HR best practices while supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and other talent sources.
- Facilitate onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company culture and compliance with HR policies.
2. Offboarding
- Coordinate exit processes, including clearance, exit interviews, and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements during offboarding.
3. HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS systems.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.
- Support payroll processing, leave management, and other HR administrative tasks.
4. Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate internal or external learning programs.
- Support performance management processes and employee development plans.
5. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
- Support internal communication and HR campaigns that reinforce company values and culture.
6. Compliance & Policies
- Ensure HR processes comply with Malaysian labor laws and company policies.
- Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a multinational corporation, preferably in manufacturing or engineering sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Hands‑on experience in recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, HR administration, training, and engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and solutions‑focused.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
