Job summary

A logistics and supply chain management company in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, is seeking a General Manager to lead the branch's business development efforts. The role includes implementing sales strategies, managing relationships within the freight forwarding industry, and overseeing daily operations. Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development and sales strategies to achieve branch sales KPIs and management objectives.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with local carriers, airlines, suppliers and booking agents, ensuring adherence to headquarters directives and establishing effective internal control mechanisms.
  • Build and lead the branch’s business development team, plan and coordinate sales initiatives, and collaborate with headquarters to manage sales and operations teams.
  • Oversee daily operational and administrative functions of the branch to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Everok Group and local customers, partners and agents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a minimum of 5‑7 years of experience in sales and team management within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the local logistics, export and import markets; extensive network and existing customer base in the logistics industry highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, management, communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Strong understanding of the digital freight forwarding landscape and its developments.
  • High level of responsibility, integrity and professionalism.
  • Good command of spoken and written English; proficiency in an additional business‑relevant language is an advantage.
