Role Overview

The General Manager of Finance and Treasury is a senior executive responsible for the overall financial health, strategic planning, and treasury operations of the entire group of healthcare facilities. This individual ensures fiscal stability, regulatory compliance, and provides leadership to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement the group's financial strategies and long‑term business plans to support growth and profitability.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting and rolling financial forecasting processes, reporting variances and providing insightful analysis to the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and daily cash positioning to ensure sufficient funds for ongoing operational and capital investment requirements; manage the group's debt portfolio, including loan facilities, banking relationships, capital structuring, and sourcing funds at competitive rates; manage short‑term investments to maximize returns while maintaining liquidity and mitigating financial risks.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and investors.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, GAAP), tax laws, and healthcare‑specific financial regulations; establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard the Group's assets and manage financial risk.
  • Operational Efficiency & Cost Control: Identify and implement cost‑saving measures, optimize operational efficiency, and review operational costs and revenue cycles specific to the healthcare industry (e.g., insurance claims, patient billing).
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor the finance and treasury teams, and collaborate with other department heads (e.g., IT, HR, hospital CEOs) on strategic initiatives and performance management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPA, CFA, or CTP are highly desirable.
  • Experience: 10–15+ years in financial management, with several years in a senior leadership or managerial role, preferably within the healthcare sector; experience in group consolidation and managing multi‑entity finances is an advantage.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills; strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders; expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management; proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and treasury management systems (TMS).
