A well-established consultancy is seeking a General Manager – Corporate Finance to lead financial management functions. Job description

We are representing a confidential client, a well-established publicly listed group, in the search for a General Manager – Corporate Finance to lead and oversee the Group’s corporate and financial management functions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Corporate Affairs Team, overseeing new MFRS implementations, budgeting, tax planning, and tax compliance.
  • Manage and execute corporate exercises in relation to the Group’s strategic and financial objectives.
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reports and announcements in compliance with Bursa Malaysia and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee group consolidated financial reporting, tax planning, and risk management activities.
  • Liaise with external parties, including auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and other relevant authorities.
  • Handle all matters related to the Group’s listing, corporate planning, corporate finance, corporate governance, as well as preparation of the Annual Report, CG & Sustainability Report, and Risk Management documentation.
  • Support treasury management, corporate proposals, financial evaluations, and board paper preparation.
  • Perform other ad-hoc assignments as directed by Management.
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIPA) and a member of MIA.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar leadership position within a publicly listed company.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements, with hands‑on management experience.
  • In‑depth knowledge of property development accounting, FRSs, Bursa and Securities Commission laws, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Experience in corporate exercises will be an advantage.
