A healthcare service provider in Malaysia is seeking a General Manager to oversee operations and coordinate five core departments. The successful candidate will ensure cross-departmental alignment, maintain operational efficiency, and focus on customer service quality while managing profit and loss objectives. They will collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to drive sales targets and directly report to the Founder/Director on operational performance. The General Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of five (5) core departments, each led by an existing departmental head:
Customer Service / Front Desk
Nursing
You will provide strategic direction, ensure cross-departmental alignment, and maintain smooth daily operations while holding an overarching view of service quality, cost control, and business performance.
Monitor and achieve strategic objectives related to costing, profit and loss, and overall financial performance
Drive and track monthly sales targets in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing team
Ensure operational efficiency, service consistency, and sustainable business practices across the centre
Handle customer complaints escalated to senior management and ensure timely, professional resolution
Approve and manage leave applications for middle management
Approve and manage salary matters for all staff (excluding self)
Support and guide departmental heads to maintain high standards of care, service, and accountability
Stakeholder & Business Management
Liaise directly with the Founder / Director to align operational execution with business goals
Provide regular updates on operational performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities
Take full ownership of running the confinement centre with a holistic, business-minded approach
