Strategic Leadership & Planning
Translate Board and Executive Director’s strategic direction into annual business plans, KPIs, and operational targets.
Support hospital expansion initiatives, including bed capacity growth, new specialist services, and infrastructure development.
Prepare Board papers, management reports, dashboards, and risk updates.
Ensure strong governance, accountability, and ethical management practices.
Hospital Operations & Service Excellence
- Oversee daily hospital operations across clinical and non‑clinical departments.
- Ensure effective coordination between medical specialists, nursing, allied health, and support services.
- Optimize patient flow, bed management, operating theatre utilisation, and clinic efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement and patient‑centred care initiatives.
- Full accountability for hospital financial performance (P&L).
- Monitor revenue growth, cost control, margins, and cash flow.
- Oversee billing governance, payor management, budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX and OPEX.
- Strengthen internal controls, procurement discipline, and audit readiness.
- Lead and develop the hospital management team and Heads of Department.
- Drive manpower planning aligned with service expansion.
- Oversee performance management, senior staff disciplinary matters, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with Employment Act 1955 and HR policies.
Regulatory Compliance, Quality & Risk
- Ensure compliance with Private Healthcare Facilities & Services Act 1998, CKAPS, MOH, OSH, and infection control standards.
- Lead hospital readiness for licensing inspections, service approvals, and audits.
- Oversee quality indicators, incident reporting, and risk mitigation.
Stakeholder & External Relations
- Maintain strong relationships with specialists, insurers, TPAs, regulators, and community stakeholders.
- Support branding, marketing, awards, and community engagement initiatives.
- Represent MMC in official meetings and stakeholder engagements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Master’s Degree (MBA / MHA) preferred.
- Minimum 10–15 years senior management experience in private hospitals or specialist medical centres.
- Proven track record in hospital operations, financial management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.
- Strong leadership and clinician engagement skills.
- Sound understanding of private hospital economics.
- High financial literacy and operational acumen.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity, resilience, and change‑management capability.
