Job description

We seek a meticulous and proactive Fund Accountant to join our Kuala Lumpur team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end fund accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial reporting for our funds and clients’ portfolios.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Perform cash, position and trade reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with transfer agents, brokers and custodians, etc.

Perform fund valuation, conduct valuation analysis, and ensure adherence to pricing policies.

Calculate and ensure accuracy of Net Asset Value, including expense accruals and resolve discrepancies.

Calculate management and performance fees, and prepare billing to clients.

Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, regulatory/statutory reporting and other ad-hoc reports for investors, authorities and management.

Ensure robust internal control procedures are maintained.

Requirements:

Hold a degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW).

Strong knowledge of corporate actions, cash and position reconciliations, and portfolio accounting principles.

At least 2 years of fund accounting or accounting experience. Fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles. Candidates exceeding this requirement may qualify for senior roles.

Deadline-driven with ability to prioritize under pressure and adapt to new reporting/compliance requirements.

Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.

Able to multi-task and work independently.
