Overview

Responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining systems and applications across front-end and back-end components. The role includes working with cloud-hosted environments on AWS, ensuring application performance, reliability and secure integration with databases and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain web applications using JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, covering both front-end and back-end components.

• Convert UI/UX designs into clean, responsive and accessible user interfaces.

• Design, implement, integrate and manage application databases, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance and secure access.

• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, especially Ubuntu.

• Deploy, update and support applications hosted on AWS environments following established deployment and CI/CD processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and continuous improvements.

• Write high-quality, reusable and well-documented code.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

• Troubleshoot application issues across development, staging and production environments, including logs and performance analysis.

• Maintain application documentation and source-code repositories in accordance with established version control practices.

• Provide technical support and consultation on system enhancements, bug fixes and operational improvements, with timely updates and proper recording.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related fields.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in full stack or web development.

• Strong proficiency in front-end frameworks and back-end development.

• Proficient in JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, for full-stack systems development.

• Good working knowledge of PHP with experience in Laravel framework, particularly for maintaining, enhancing and supporting existing web systems.

• Added advantage: hands-on experience with PHPMaker (code generation, CRUD modules, security configuration and deployment) to support migration of legacy web systems to modern development frameworks.

• Strong working knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL, with solid experience in database design and performance optimization.

• Practical understanding of AWS cloud environments used for application hosting and database services.

• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems (Ubuntu is mandatory).

• Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD concepts.
