A logistics company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced individual to manage customer inquiries related to air and sea freight shipments. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal departments, preparing shipping documents, and monitoring shipment status. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in air and sea freight and must possess strong knowledge of costing and regulatory compliance. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth cargo movement and customer satisfaction.
Handle customer inquiries related to air and sea freight shipments, including booking, tracking, and documentation. Coordinate with internal departments (operations, sales, customs) to ensure smooth cargo movement. Prepare and verify shipping documents: AWB, BL, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations. Monitor shipment status and proactively update customers on delays or changes. Resolve service issues, complaints and discrepancies with professionalism and urgency. Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, and third-party vendors for space booking and cargo handling. Ensure compliance with IATA, IMO and local customs regulations. Maintain accurate records in the company's logistics system or CRM platform. Prepare costing breakdowns and quotations upon receiving RFQs from customers, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Comply with ASTF's established procedures within required time limits, including ISO norms. Acting as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
