A fitness center in Malaysia, Selangor is seeking a Personal Trainer to design and deliver tailored training programs focused on member goals. Responsibilities include conducting fitness assessments, instructing group exercise classes in various formats, and providing guidance on nutrition. Ideal candidates should possess recognized fitness certifications and strong communication skills. The role requires a willingness to work flexible hours and engage with members to enhance their fitness journey.
Design and deliver safe, effective 1-to-1 personal training programs tailored to member goals.
Conduct fitness assessments, track progress, and make data-driven recommendations.
Demonstrate correct techniques and equipment use to prevent injuries.
Provide basic guidance on nutrition and healthy habits (fat loss, muscle gain, strength).
Motivate, encourage, and build strong relationships to improve retention and experience.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the gym and equipment.
Plan and lead GX classes (e.g., HIIT, Circuit/Bootcamp, Strength & Conditioning, Core/Mobility/Stretch; Indoor Cycling/Boxing basics if applicable), 60 mins per class, 2–4 classes per week.
Deliver multi-level options (regressions/progressions), clear cueing with music timing, class flow (warm-up → main set → cool-down), equipment layout & headcount control.
Pre-class safety checks and post-class member follow-up to drive attendance and satisfaction.
Support promotions of classes, wellness programs, and member events; collaborate on basic photo/video content when needed.
Any recognized PT or Group Fitness certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA, FISAF, AFAA, Les Mills, or equivalent).
1–2 years of relevant experience preferred; strong rookies welcome with training.
Proven ability to instruct GX classes (at least 2–3 formats from: HIIT, Circuit/Bootcamp, Strength & Conditioning, Core/Mobility/Stretch; Cycling/Boxing basics are a plus).
Strong class management: cueing, music timing, energy, and safety for mixed levels.
Excellent communication and customer focus.
Willing to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
