Job description
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Management & Planning: Partner with the CFO and senior management to develop and execute the company's financial strategy. Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Conduct in-depth financial analysis, variance analysis, and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making (e.g., new product launches, market expansion, pricing strategies). Prepare and present clear, actionable financial reports and dashboards for management and board meetings.
  • Financial Operations & Control (FinTech Focus): Oversee all aspects of day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in AP/AR, GL, and payroll. Develop and maintain a strong internal control framework suitable for a regulated FinTech environment, safeguarding company assets and ensuring compliance with local (BSP, SEC) and international financial regulations. Manage cash flow, liquidity, and treasury functions, optimizing working capital. Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for statutory audits, tax filings (VAT, CIT, etc.), and regulatory reporting.
  • Business Performance & Partnership: Serve as a financial business partner to department heads (e.g., Product, Operations, Marketing), providing data-driven insights to optimize performance and resource allocation. Analyze unit economics, customer lifetime value (LTV), and cost-per-acquisition (CPA) to evaluate business unit and product line profitability. Support fundraising activities and due diligence processes by preparing financial models and data rooms. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred. An MBA or other advanced finance degree is a strong plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role. Direct experience in the FinTech, payments, digital lending, or financial services sector is essential. Experience working with a BSP-regulated entity is a significant advantage. Proven track record in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and financial modeling. Solid experience with Philippine taxation (BIR) and financial regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in financial modeling (Excel) and advanced data analysis. Hands-on experience with major ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and familiarity with modern FP&A tools.
  • Soft Skills & Language: Fluent in English is a non-negotiable requirement, with excellent verbal and written communication skills for regional and global stakeholder engagement. Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile startup environment.
