Manufacturing | Costing Excellence | IPO Readiness

This is a high-impact role for a hands‑on Financial Controller to partner closely with the CFO, lead a strong finance team, and play a key role in strengthening the business for public‑market readiness.
End‑to‑End Financial Reporting & Close Excellence
Own and lead the full month‑end close process, delivering accurate and timely P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
Review and sign off all critical schedules including AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, accruals, prepayments, intercompany, and bank reconciliations.
Ensure data integrity and robustness within ERP and financial reporting systems.
Deliver insightful product‑level P&L and segmental reporting to support management decision‑making.
Manufacturing Costing, Inventory & COGS Governance
Partner closely with the Costing & Inventory function to ensure accurate inventory valuation, standard costing, BOM integrity, and variance analysis.
Validate monthly manufacturing yields, wastage, production variances, overhead absorption, and stock adjustments.
Strengthen internal controls over inventory movements, cycle counts, and factory reporting.
Act as a key finance partner to operations in driving margin improvement and cost discipline.
Management Reporting, Budgeting & Performance Tracking
Prepare monthly management accounts with clear performance analysis and commentary for the CFO and Board.
Drive annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting in close collaboration with operations and commercial teams.
Monitor and analyse key KPIs including gross margin, working capital, overheads, and factory efficiency.
Audit, Compliance & IPO Readiness
Lead annual statutory audits and ensure timely completion of financial statements in accordance with MFRS.
Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, including governance, disclosure, and internal control standards.
Act as the main finance liaison with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and professional advisors.
Support the CFO on IPO‑related workstreams, including historical financial information, prospectus schedules, due diligence support, internal controls, and documentation.
Internal Controls, SOPs & Process Improvement
Design, enhance, and document finance SOPs and internal control frameworks.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and automation.
Ensure full compliance with financial, tax, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting Manager and wider finance team.
Build a high‑performance finance function with strong ownership, accountability, and technical capability.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and partnership with the business.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA / CPA / CIMA / MIA preferred.
8–10+ years of finance experience, including 3+ years in a senior accounting, controller, or finance leadership role.
Strong background in manufacturing, FMCG, or inventory‑driven environments, with hands‑on exposure to costing and factory finance.
Prior experience in public‑listed companies or IPO preparation is a strong advantage.
Solid technical knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian tax, audit processes, and internal controls.
Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to perform under tight deadlines.
Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Play a critical role in an IPO journey.
High visibility with the CFO and Board.
