Job description

Oversee day-to-day finance operations across the stockbroking company and its sister entities.

Lead the preparation, review, and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for statutory reporting, including group reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all subsidiaries and related entities.

Manage and enhance the group reporting process, including intercompany reconciliation, group adjustments, elimination entries, and timely submission of consolidated reports to senior management and the Board of the Parent Company (Listed Co).

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports and disclosures in compliance with Securities Commission Malaysia ("SC"), Bursa Malaysia, MFRS, tax regulations, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, bankers and other relevant external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and timely completion of all financial matters.

Lead the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis processes.

Analyze financial data to monitor performance against budgets and KPIs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Establish, review and enhance financial policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks to ensure strong financial discipline and risk management.

Evaluate financial operations and identify opportunities for automation, system improvements, and workflow enhancements.

Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to strengthen financial efficiency, accuracy, and reporting timeliness.

Develop and execute the company’s overall financial strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and long-term business goals.

Provide strategic financial insights and data-driven recommendations to the Board of Directors and senior management to support key decision‑making and improve profitability.

Oversee regulatory compliance matters and ensure adherence to industry, financial, and reporting standards.

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance, succession planning, and professional growth.

Undertake any other responsibilities or special projects as assigned by top management or the Board of Directors.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 6–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Possess a recognised chartered accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, etc.).
  • Must be a registered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements, including Bursa Malaysia, SSM, and MFRS.
  • Proven experience in full-spectrum financial operations and group consolidation.
  • Strong analytical thinking, leadership qualities, and effective communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines.
