Company Background:
Our client is an expanding and fast growing electronic manufacturer. They are currently looking for a Finance Manager / Senior Manager to be based in Melaka plant.
Overall Job Purpose:
He / She will oversee Malaysia manufacturing finance operations and supports regional group consolidation, reporting, and financial planning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Regional Finance Manager in group consolidation and reporting, including monthly and year-end consolidated financial statements, intercompany eliminations, FX translation, and management reporting across few countries.
- Lead end-to-end finance operations for Malaysia manufacturing entities, ensuring timely month-end closing, compliance with MPERS, group policies, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee product costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis, partnering with production and supply chain teams to drive cost control and margin improvement.
- Support FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and KPI reporting, providing insights for management decision-making.
- Manage cash flow, treasury, and working capital, including forecasting, intercompany funding, and FX matters.
- Ensure tax, audit, and regulatory compliance, liaising with auditors, tax agents, and authorities.
- Strengthen internal controls, processes, and systems, including automation and ERP optimisation.
- Lead and develop the Malaysia finance team, collaborating closely with regional and HQ teams.
- Participate in ad-hoc and group projects such as ERP implementation, business integration, and strategic initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferably with professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with manufacturing group finance environment.
- Hands‑on experience in group consolidation, product costing, and management reporting.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, MPERS, and local tax regulations.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Business Central) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas).
- Ability to communicate well in English, Chinese and Bahasa languages.
- Willing to work in Melaka.
