Job summary

A leading construction firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced finance/accounting professional. Responsibilities include preparing full sets of accounts, liaising with various stakeholders including suppliers and auditors, and carrying out bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in accounting or finance, at least 5 years of experience in a finance role, and proficiency in accounting software. Knowledge of property and construction backgrounds is advantageous. Commitment to meeting deadlines and ability to work independently are essential traits.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of accounting and reporting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing full set of accounts.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties.
  • Prepare payments, bank reconciliation, and update accounting records.
  • Undertake duties as instructed by the superior.

Job description

Responsible in preparations of full set of accounts and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts

Liaison with internal and external parties which include suppliers, treasury department, company secretary, auditor, tax agent, property and construction department etc

To prepare payment/cheque and other related documents

To carry out bank reconciliation, data entry and updating records and maintaining of accounting records

To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior

Qualification

Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field and qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting role.

Property and Construction Background will be advantage

Proficient in using accounting software ( Auto Count & UBS) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Words, etc)

Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross functional teams

Responsible and reliable, able to work independently, committed and meet deadlines

Knowledge of accounting and reporting standards

Able to start work with short notice will be an advantage
