Job Description

Group Consolidation & Reporting
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial results for the Group to support management reporting, statutory reporting, and ad-hoc requirements.
  • Draft annual audited financial statements and shareholder financial reports in compliance with regulatory standards and corporate governance requirements.
  • Support audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditors.
Technical Accounting & Advisory
  • Conduct annual impairment assessments in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  • Provide technical accounting advice on complex transactions to ensure compliance with MFRS and other applicable regulations.
  • Handle ad-hoc accounting assignments and resolve technical queries for the Group and subsidiaries.
Entity-Level Finance Operations
  • Review and supervise entity accounts preparation, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Oversee daily accounting activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, banking transactions, and monthly closing activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and detailed sub-schedules for significant balance sheet items.
  • Provide reliable financial insights to management and shareholders for effective decision-making.
Taxation & Compliance
  • Prepare and review tax estimates, tax computations, and tax analysis for Group entities.
  • Support tax compliance and liaise with internal teams and external advisors as needed.
Policy Implementation & Process Improvement
  • Assist in the implementation of Group accounting policies and procedures to ensure standardisation and comparability across entities.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and achieve cost savings.
  • Support initiatives to improve reporting quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, group consolidation, or audit (Big 4/large audit firm experience is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and consolidation principles.
  • Experience with taxation compliance and reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP/financial systems (SAP/Oracle/Hyperion or equivalent preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
