Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Degree in Accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of MFRS standards and Malaysian taxation/SST.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and management reports in compliance with MFRS.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance functions including AP, AR, GL.
  • Lead the Annual Budget Review and capital investments evaluation.
  • Coordinate audit processes and manage tax filing and reporting.
  • Advise teams on cost-effectiveness and trade working capital efficiency.
  • Supervise Finance Executives and support their development.

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the company's finance operations efficiently. The role ensures that financial and management reporting is accurate and timely, adhering to Malaysian accounting standards, company policies, the Companies Act, tax regulations, and Bursa Malaysia requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial & Management Reporting: Prepare financial statements, board papers, and management reports in compliance with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia guidelines.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day finance functions including AP, AR, GL, Costing, Fixed Assets, Credit Control, and Treasury.
  • Budgeting & Planning: Lead the Annual Budget Review (ABR), mid-year projections, and evaluate capital investments (CAPEX) for cost savings and returns.
  • Audit & Tax Management: Coordinate internal and external audit processes while managing tax filing, transfer pricing, and SST reporting.
  • Strategic Advisory: Advise production and commercial teams on cost-effectiveness and manage trade working capital efficiency.
  • People Management: Supervise four Finance Executives, performing performance evaluations and identifying gaps for staff development.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of a Degree in Accounting.
  • Certification: Professional accounting membership such as ACCA, CIMA, or MIA.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience a similar capacity with specific credibility in manufacturing and operational accounting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SAP (mainly COPA), MFRS standards, and Malaysian taxation/SST.
  • Soft Skills: Proficient in English communication, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
