A financial services provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting functions and manage licensee relationships. This role includes preparing management reports, supporting business initiatives, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Candidates should have at least 5–7 years of experience in finance and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Relevant qualifications like CPA or ACCA are preferred. A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders are essential.
To oversee the company’s financial reporting functions, ensuring robust financial governance and providing strategic business support. The role also involves managing the financial aspects of licensee relationships and serving as the main liaison with the Shared Services Centre (SSC) for all transactional processes.
Monitor and review the financial performance of licensees (e.g. sales reports, royalties, fees, cost reimbursements).
Support commercial teams in evaluating licence agreements and renewals.
Ensure licensees comply with the financial terms of their contracts.
Coordinate with licensees on reporting, invoicing, and payment matters.
Identify risks or discrepancies in licensee submissions and elevate as required.
Prepare and present monthly management reports and financial dashboards.
Track KPIs and provide variance analyses with commentary.
Support leadership with ad hoc financial reports and insights.
Act as the key liaison between local finance and the SSC for AP, AR, GL, and treasury matters.
Manage escalations, monitor SLAs, and ensure service delivery quality.
Review and approve journal entries or reconciliations where required.
Work closely with commercial, operations, and legal teams to support business initiatives.
Provide financial input for business cases, pricing models, and new partnerships.
Assist with performance reviews and strategic planning discussions.
Maintain and strengthen financial controls and processes.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Work with external consultants and the SSC to ensure tax filings and statutory reports are accurate and submitted on time.
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and reporting standards.
Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; CPA/ACCA/MICPA qualification preferred.
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or business partnering role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls.
Proficient in financial systems (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
