Aspial Lifestyle Business Services (ALBS), located in Malaysia, serves as a shared service business centre, playing a crucial role in supporting the Group’s various operations. The Group features prominent brands such as Maxi-Cash, Lee Hwa, Goldheart Jewelry, and Niessing.
Aspial Lifestyle Business Services ("ALBS") is an integral part of Aspial Group’s finance organisation supporting the businesses Aspial Group operates in, including, but not limited to, retail and trading of jewellery and branded merchandise, financial services – pawnbroking and secured lending, real estate development and investment, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all financial activities are completed timely and in accordance with corporate timeline, guidelines and policies.
- Financial activities include but not limited to:
- Verify, review and process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and payment requests in accordance with company policies.
- Review and reconcile aged creditors and debit balances.
- Prepare and execute weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payment runs (ACH, wire, checks, etc.).
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal stakeholders.
- Assist on monitoring the cash-flow.
- Review open PO to ensure receive the invoice every month.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Accruals of invoices and expenses.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial transactions.
- Participate in process/continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support audits by providing documentation and responding to queries related to accounts payable.
- Work closely with all stakeholders and as a team with other team members to ensure end deliverables and KPI are met.
- Perform all other related tasks assigned from time to time by Finance Manager.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in Mandarin (spoken & written) as the role supports China (Shanghai, and Hong Kong entities).
- Degree holder in accounting and/or finance or professional qualifications.
- At least 3 years of working experience in a similar capacity within a shared services set-up.
- Meticulous, analytical and a high degree of agility.
- Proactive in resolving matters, while being able to manage time effectively.
- Highly committed and able to work independently.
- Stakeholder influencing; strong in communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment are essential.
- Experience in Microsoft Navision (Accounting software), RPA (Uipath), Medius is preferred.
