Triumph International Malaysia, is currently seeking for a strong leader in finance & accounting management to join us as a Finance Director for Malaysia and Singapore and be based in our Petaling Jaya office.
In this senior leadership role, you will be accountable for the financial planning and controlling, administrative, tax, insurance and treasury, as well as risk management operations of the local entities, to include the execution of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing implementation.
Your responsibilities:
Strategy, Planning, and Management
Partner with local leadership and participate in strategic decisions.
Liaise with regional leaders and Shared Service Center (SSC) on financial matters.
Maintain ethical standards and internal controls.
Evaluate financial performance and set yearly financial goals.
Align Finance department with regional/global plans.
Manage strategic projects.
Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting
Handle financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Prepare monthly budgeting reports and ensure accurate financial statements.
Analyze monthly results and provide recommendations.
Translate local financial statements to IFRS.
Develop and maintain operating budgets.
Accounting and Administration
Oversee accounts and ledgers.
Ensure internal controls and compliance.
Manage financial statements and tax responsibilities.
Oversee month-end close process.
Monitor cash collections and manage credit risk.
Manage cash flow and asset management.
Handle financial risks and liquidity.
Provide financial insight for plans and budgets.
Financial Relations
Represent the company to financial partners and auditors.
Manage external audits and stay updated on best practices.
Team Management
Develop and mentor the Finance team.
Guide Finance teams and oversee SSC performance.
Your ideal Profile:
A minimum of 10 years of Finance related working experience 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Industry experience: D2C Retail, D2C FMCG with retail presence.
Good to have: At least 3 years experience in any Big 4 accounting firms.
CA (Certified Accountant) or equivalent accounting professional qualification.
Experience as a Finance executive in regional and/or family-owned/ matrix organization.
Understanding of retail distribution industry is an added advantage.
Excellent communication skills and clarity of thought is important.
Good analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
Experienced working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
Fluent in standard Microsoft office software; ie : Excel, Words & PowerPoint skills.
Knowledge in SAP and BW.
