A leading financial institution is seeking a Finance Associate Business Partner in Kuala Lumpur to support financial reporting, analysis, and advisory for various business units. We are looking for a Finance Associate Business Partner to support financial reporting, analysis, and advisory for business units across the Group. In this role, you’ll prepare key financial information, support budgeting and forecasting, develop business cases, and ensure accurate accounting processes. You will also provide guidance on finance policies, regulatory requirements, and tax matters to help the business operate effectively and in compliance.
Prepare periodic financial information, including P&L and balance sheet reports, and provide analysis to business units and relevant stakeholders.
Work with the business to prepare balance sheet schedules and develop financial forecasts and budgets.
Support business case development for new initiatives.
Post required journal entries for month‑end closings.
Develop accounting processes and entries for new business activities and products.
Advise the business on finance processes, including budget top‑up procedures, CAPEX/OPEX approvals, payments, and invoicing.
Provide guidance on accounting standards and policy requirements to ensure compliance.
Ensure adherence to WHT and tax requirements.
Handle other tasks assigned by superiors when needed.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly.
Familiarity with tax, WHT, and regulatory requirements.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
Proactive, organized, and able to meet timelines.
