Financial Modeling and Analysis
- Build and manage financial models that reflect real-world deployment economics — not just projections.
- Analyze capex vs. opex trade-offs across markets and routes.
- Track build costs, revenue yield, and ROI across fiber projects.
- Partner with deployment and engineering teams to improve cost efficiency and capital allocation.
- Support fundraising, investor reporting, and strategic financial planning.
- Help leadership make data-driven decisions on where to invest next — and how to do it profitably.
Internal Audit & Controls (Capex Focus)
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure transparency and accountability in capex projects.
- Conduct periodic internal audits of major capital projects to verify compliance with approval processes, budget allocations, and financial reporting standards.
- Review project cost justifications, vendor contracts, and procurement processes to detect inefficiencies, risks, or potential financial leakage.
- Provide independent assessments of project spend vs. budget, highlighting variances and root causes.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure corrective actions are taken on audit findings.
- Develop audit reports and present findings to senior leadership, ensuring recommendations are actionable and aligned with strategic goals.
- Continuously improve governance frameworks for capex approval, tracking, and post-implementation reviews.
Corporate Accounting, Management Accounting & Taxation
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support business performance management.
- Lead management accounting initiatives, including cost allocation, profitability analysis, and performance dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, overseeing tax planning, filings, and audits.
- Provide strategic tax advice to optimize corporate tax positions while mitigating risks.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and systems that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
- Act as a key finance partner to senior management, offering insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
