Job summary

A semiconductor technology company located in Malaysia is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Final Test Engineer. The successful candidate will lead the development and optimization of final test programs while ensuring product quality and operational stability. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor testing environments are required. Proficiency in statistical analysis and tools like JMP and Excel is essential. Candidates who speak Chinese are preferred due to collaboration with counterparts in China.

Job description

Drive continuous advancement of final test operations to safeguard product quality, operational stability, and customer satisfaction in a high-volume semiconductor environment.

Final Test Process Management

Lead the development, qualification, and enhancement of final test programs, test flows, and methodologies for packaged ICs.

Yield & Quality Optimization

Conduct in-depth yield analysis, limit reviews, and statistical evaluations to identify systemic gaps and implement targeted improvement strategies.

Equipment & Hardware Oversight

Manage ATE platforms, including load boards, probe cards, and handler setups. Drive equipment performance, throughput, and cycle-time improvements.

Data-Driven Problem Solving

Utilize JMP, Excel, and related analytical tools to execute correlation studies, parametric reviews, and test integrity validations.

NPI & Mass Production Support

Execute test readiness activities for new products, covering program release, hardware validation, GR&R, and production qualification.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Work closely with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, QA, and Operations to deliver reliable test solutions aligned with customer and business commitments.

Issue Resolution & Debug

Troubleshoot test program failures, equipment issues, and product-specific anomalies to maintain stable manufacturing flow.

Documentation & Governance

Ensure test specifications, process controls, and engineering documentation are updated, audit‑ready, and aligned with internal standards.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Semiconductor Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in semiconductor/OSAT final test environments.
  • Strong statistical analysis capability and proficiency in yield/debug tools.
  • Solid understanding of IC test methodologies, electrical characterization, and production test flow.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving skills, and a structured, data‑centric working style.
  • Chinese‑speaking candidates preferred, due to close collaboration with China counterparts.
