Job summary

A leading staffing firm is seeking a Field Service Technician in Klang City, Malaysia. In this role, you will perform field service jobs, conduct equipment testing, and maintain safety standards. The ideal candidate must have a Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be knowledgeable about ISO standards. This position involves hands-on maintenance while ensuring compliance with EHS requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience in a related field.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Field Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned field service jobs and scheduled maintenance tasks in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.
• Submit complete documentation to Service Engineers to support daily service task fulfillment and departmental targets.
• Complete and submit service reports promptly for accurate tracking of man hours and travel hours in SAP.
• Conduct equipment testing and failure analysis to improve performance and recommend necessary parts.
• Maintain service tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in compliance with EHS standards and company policies.
• Ensure proper upkeep of service facilities and vehicles according to 5S standards, recommending repairs and servicing when required.
• Participate in periodic service and safety training to stay updated on product knowledge and meet statutory EHS requirements.
• Carry out field activities in strict compliance with EHS procedures and standards.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of working experience in a related field.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Strong technical and analytical skills for equipment testing and failure analysis.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
